Sukhothai Thani Co., Ltd. was established in 1961 under the name Sahayanayon Thani Transport Co., Ltd., initially operating local bus services between districts within the province. In 1969, the company was registered under the name Sukhothai Thani Co., Ltd. to expand its services to interprovincial routes, covering both Category 2 and Category 3 transport services.
